Please do keep me aware of your journey and do give some thought to journalling your experience – as so many others can benefit from your wisdom and authentic approach. And whether or not a “higher power” is something you embrace, it matters not – as we will keep you in our prayers of hope and healing, my friend.

… and of course the idea of journalling was already in my mind - but this message confirmed my need to do it. Thankyou. But there’s more. Faith is something I have struggled with all my life. I wouldn’t descibe myself as an atheist (to me that is as hard to settle into as ‘belief’). Agnostic is my camp. And that isn’t being lazy - I do think about it a lot. Highlighting these words again;

… are probably the best words of this kind I have ever received along these lines. No assumption. No imposition, just a bald loving statement from someone of faith to someone who doesn’t really know. The sentiment was something along the lines of what I wrote about here.

William Li presents a new way to think about treating cancer and other diseases: anti-angiogenesis, preventing the growth of blood vessels that feed a tumor. The crucial first (and best) step: Eating cancer-fighting foods that cut off the supply lines and beat cancer at its own game.

Too Much - Redux

Calls, Emails, Letters and Texts - all channels are used.

Format of the things you are going to is not consistent. - do i need to get there early? - which hospital? - which part of the (same?) hospital? - is this another extra - or is this included? - essential - or not so much?

Don’t get me wrong - everybody is so very nice.

And all the systems are integrated … for them.

Just not for us.

Bit by bit, you start to tell people. Close family - then friends - then acquaintances … interspersed with people that need to know because you aren’t going to be able to do what you told them you would be doing.

Of course, not all reactions are what you want … as I have talked about before.

Some however just nail it in one way or the other - and those responses are the ones I am going to record here. Anonymously of course.

Faith

I also have a hard time dealing with people who spend their life not believing - but as they face extinction (1) … they suddenly ‘find faith’. It’s as if they have a cross bet so that they have it covered either way. Me? I think you need to be in - or out. I commented on this and these words came back to me ….

“Faith is held by god giving it to people. It might be just a mustard seed, but it is for god to give - not people to take.

I liked that.

Maybe it’s just me, where I am, who I am dealing with - but it can’t just be me that ends up dealing with (too) many people.

The core seems to be the radiology team - no they don’t do the ‘Chemo’ aswell. And then their’s the Gastro team. Nutrition? The core radiology group does that for you, not the Gastro team? No - but you may want to connect with a different nutritionist outside of our system. Oh - you MIGHT need a speech therapist … they are different again. As is the dentist.

The cancer society will also be in touch to help you.

B-Tribe

B-Tribe, or The Barcelona Tribe of Soulsters, is a musical project of the German-born musicians and producers Claus Zundel, Markus Staab and Ralf Hamm (“The Brave”), who are also known for their Sacred Spirit project. Driven by the use of classical Spanish guitar and other elements of flamenco music, in particular, using a direct mix from a prerecorded CD simply entitled Morente-Sabicas “Nueva York-Granada by world renown musicians; vocalist, Enrique Morente accompanied on guitar by Sabicas… mixed with trip hop-like ambient tunes. All the albums were recorded in Zundels’s own studio on Ibiza, Spain. Spanish musician Paco Fernandez plays guitars and cello parts are performed by Frankfurt Radio Orchestra member Eric Plummetaz.
