Balance

Where value given and value returned settle their account.

Every exchange runs between two parties. Person and person. Person and organisation. Organisation and organisation. One side gives something - product, time, effort, attention. The other gives something back, and it doesn't have to be money. Sometimes it's a favour. Sometimes it's trust, access, or a debt that gets called in later.

Strip away the labels and every relationship reduces to the same question: is the exchange still worth it to both sides? Most tools only ever price the half that shows up on an invoice. Balance measures the whole exchange.

What's given

Product. Time. Effort. Attention. A favour. Whatever one party puts in - the visible half, usually the only half anyone bothers to price.

What comes back

Money, sometimes. Just as often it's a favour returned, trust extended, or alignment - whether both parties are still pulling in the same direction.

A ledger tells you if you got paid.
Balance tells you if the equation still holds.

Balance is the payoff tool in the domain set - the place the others resolve. Pulse senses. Personal identifies. Reveal diagnoses. Assembly gathers. Intelligence synthesises. Library holds what's been learned. Balance is what all of that was for: the point where you find out whether the equation actually holds.

Strip away who the parties are and what currency they're trading in, and it's always the same thing: an exchange of value. You do not need a new strategy to fix a Balance problem. You need to see clearly what's actually being exchanged.

That is Balance.
