The Climax State
“There are going to be many, many casualties over the next few years, both economic and real. A lot of investors who, like me, thought themselves well set for retirement are going to find themselves eating cat food, or worse.”
Dana Blankenhorn
My Thoughts
In many ways ,, we are already there - aren’t we? Isn’t this why we have so many ‘retired’ people working at low paying jobs … they can’t do what they used to do because ‘ageism’. But they need money to survive.
Example:
‘Overall, 255,000 Americans 85 years old or older were working over the past 12 months. That’s 4.4 percent of Americans that age, up from 2.6 percent in 2006, before the recession. It’s the highest number on record.’
I’m sorry - it isn’t because they want to get out and socialize!!
