Happy Birthday Ian
Had he not died, he would have been 60 years old today (April 13th). Taken away from his wife Ruth, his children and friends waaaay too early.
The picture above was taken outside the old bank in Chiddingfold - which was about to become the headquarters to The Chiddingfold Archive - a charitable trust run by 5 people, with Ian as the chair.
The bank had just been bought by an anonymous benefactor - and was being leased back to the trust at a Peppercorn rent. I always had my suspicions as to who that anonymous benefactor was :-) It would have been a typical Ian move!
