From The Law Offices of Levin Minnemann Rudess
I love this promotional video …
… so I approached the album itself with high expectations. I wasn’t disappointed. Not at all. If any of these names do not mean anything to you … WAKE UP !!! Each of them famous in their own right, each with pedigrees that include King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, Stick Men, Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment, Aristocrats, Steven Wilson … their historical output alone accounting for hundreds of recordings.
Now as a band, their second album is available.
Produced by the inimitable Scott Schorr of Lazybones, keep your eye on him, trust me - if he is producing - you owe it to yourself to check it out.
Also, interesting to note that Scott not only produced and engineered the album - but also is credited with arranging two of the tracks (The Tort and The Verdict) … and yes - every track has a legal connection …. stemming form the albums name of course …
The title of the work is garnered from a music journalist who opined that the name of the band sounded like “a law firm.”
Favorite track? I don’t do that. Albums - particularly in this genre are there to be listened to as a piece - in its entirety. Just go buy it and listen to it for yourself.
