Varieties of News Readers

I think — provisionally — that there are three types of news readers. (Am I missing any?)

Brent Simmons writing about his three categories of News Readers. In his analysis, my personal favorite is Feedly - found under type 2 … but more importantly - isn’t there a 4th category of the single publication apps ?

I know - why would you ? BUT sometimes …..
